New minerals discovered in historic Slovak mining region

Betliar, a village in southern Slovakia, became the site of the discovery of a completely new mineral. Now, mineralogists from the Slovak Academy of Sciences (SAV) report that two new minerals – auropolybasite and auropearceite – have been identified in central Slovakia.
